We offer psychosocial assessments and treatment services
to children and youth, ages 2 - 17, and to their families. We provide
play therapy, individual and family therapy, and individualized parenting
consultation. We offer family and marital therapy to couples just starting
families. Group therapy is offered on an intermittent basis. We also
provide specialized help to families dealing with grief and loss issues,
as well as concerns related to adoption.
What kinds of difficulties can Outpatient Treatment help?
- emotional problems such as depression, anxiety and
trauma
- behavioral concerns such as compulsiveness, impulsivity
or habit patterns
- social difficulties such as isolation or withdrawal
or problems being alone
- relational issues such as communication problems
with family members, difficulties making and keeping friends or parenting
challenges
- attachment and loss problems related to bereavement
or to childhood neglect and/or abuse
How are Outpatient Services paid for?
Most insurance plans provide an outpatient therapy benefit
and also require that the client assume responsibility for a co-payment.
When you call for information or to schedule an assessment we will discuss
your financial needs with you. We do serve eligible Salud! clients.
How can I access Outpatient Services?
Usually families obtain referrals to us through their health
insurance organizations. Even without a referral, you can contact
our Counseling Office at 265-5628. We will then obtain some basic
information from you and arrange for an assessment. Once your needs
are assessed, we can then discuss treatment recommendations with you..
